October Contest

At Hume Christian Camps, jawbreakers have become a legendary staple among our junior high campers at Meadow Ranch. Every summer, kids walk around with their favorite jawbreakers in hand, proudly showing off their sweet treats as they enjoy fun-filled days at Hume.

After summer, Harrison Wise, the Meadow Ranch Camp Director, received a hilarious email from a camper. One of the campers, who joined us in week 4, was determined to tackle the challenge of finishing his jawbreaker. He told Harrison he would let him know how many licks it took to finish it completely, as it wasn’t done at the end of camp. At the end of summer, he reached out to Harrison (via email) with a grand total, stating, “It took me ________ licks to finish my jawbreaker!”

Now, it’s your turn to get in on the fun! How many licks do you think it took him to finish his jawbreaker? (Hint: It’s a lot!)

Submit your guess, and the closest to the correct answer will win a $25 gift card to the Hume Apparel Store!

To enter, email rlatona@hume.org with your guess. We will announce the grand total of licks and the winner in November’s newsletter. Let’s see who has the best guess! Get ready to crunch the numbers and good luck!

*September’s contest asked “What was the first name of Meadow Ranch?”, Bart Grunau is our winner, with the correct answer of Long Meadow Camp! Congrats, Bart!
