A few weeks ago, a junior high boy arrived at Hume Lake Christian Camps with no knowledge of Jesus and little interest in learning about Him. This young man was deeply entangled in various sins and was even part of a gang back home. However, his story took a remarkable turn during his time at camp.
On the first night, he confided in his counselor, expressing an unexpected curiosity about “this Jesus guy.” Eager to nurture this interest, the counselor reached out to the Hume staff, requesting a Bible for the student. The Meadow Ranch staff promptly provided a Bible, which the counselor passed on to the boy.
From that moment on, the student read his Bible every day, eager to learn more about Jesus. As he immersed himself in the scriptures, his heart began to change. By Thursday night, he was ready to make a life-altering decision. In a powerful moment of surrender, he gave his life to Jesus during chapel.
We ask for your continued prayers for this young man. Pray that he remains steadfast in his newfound faith, continues to fall deeply in love with Jesus, and stays committed to studying the Word. Additionally, pray that he finds a supportive community within his local church to help him grow and stay connected on his spiritual journey.
