Merry Christmas!
Christmas time always brings moments of reflection and wonderment. For children it’s a time of toys, singing and presents. For adults it’s a time of celebration, memories- some good, and some hard, presents, and being with family.
For me personally, Christmas is about music that reminds me of friends, family, and the birth of our Savior. Jesus. A few of our family’s favorite Christmas songs are:
Silent Night
Joy to the World
O Holy Night
This year the words of the song “Mary Did You Know” have been filling my thoughts. Mary did you know that your baby boy would one day walk on water, heal the blind, and raise the dead? Wow, the King of Kings came as a baby boy to save the world! Let us sing with the angels, glory to God in the highest and on earth peace and good will toward men.
As Lyn and I reflect on this year, we have so much to be grateful for. Our son, Jesse and our daughter, Hannah, bring us much joy. Our family even expanded this year with the addition of Jesse’s wife, Vanessa. What joy she brings to our family. They married in May, and both are working here at Hume. God is so good.
We are thankful for our health and family and thankful also for our Hume family. For all of you that have welcomed us so warmly into this new role of Executive Director. Lyn and I will be forever grateful to the each of you that have cared for us in prayer this past year.
As you prepare for this Christmas season, we wish you and yours a very MERRY CHRISTMAS!! May we never forget the greatest gift ever given. JESUS.
Warmly,
John and Lyn
