Winter Camp 2026 has been a powerful reminder that when students step away from everyday distractions and into intentional time with the Lord, God moves in lasting ways. Through Christ-centered worship, biblical teaching, and intentional community, students don’t just experience a weekend away—they encountered Jesus.
For Nathan, a long-time Winter Camp counselor and youth pastor, this year marked his 11th time bringing students to Hume. While traditions like chapel, cabin time, and snowy competitions continue to create meaningful memories, he shared that the heart of Winter Camp remains unchanged:
“Hume does an amazing job at sharing the gospel… this is the main reason why I keep bringing students up to Hume.”
That gospel focus bore visible fruit. During Saturday night chapel, students were invited to stand if they sensed God calling them into some aspect of ministry. Two responded. One has since applied to serve on Hume summer staff, sharing that she believes God is leading her to invest more deeply in student ministry. Another continues to prayerfully discern God’s calling with the support of his leaders.
Students also reflected on how God used thier weekend at camp to shape their faith beyond the mountain. Noah shared how building a box sled alongside his team mirrored his walk with the Lord:
“Just like building the sled, I realized my walk with God grows when I take what I’ve learned in the past and actually apply it.”
Through thoughtful teaching from God’s Word and honest conversations with leaders, Noah returned home “encouraged, challenged, and grateful for the impact this weekend had on my friendships and my faith journey.”
For another student, Eleanor, Winter Camp created space for vulnerability and spiritual growth:
“Being able to finally share what I was going through helped a lot with my relationship with God.” She reflected on the encouragement to carry what God was doing at camp back into everyday life, adding, “My faith since has been on FIRE!”

Weekends like Winter Camp are made possible because of faithful partners who believe in investing in the next generation. Because of your prayers and generosity, students are hearing the gospel, taking steps of obedience, and responding to God’s call on their lives.
Winter Camp 2026 still has a few weekends left! Will you join us in praying for each student, counselor, and staff member, that God would do a mighty work in each life.
Thank you for being part of what God is doing at Hume—helping create space where lives are changed for eternity!
