We are thrilled to announce that the Joshua Wilderness Institute Class of ‘24/’25 is in full swing! This year, we are blessed to welcome our largest class since reopening post-COVID. Our students have eagerly immersed themselves in their Biola classes and time with the Lord, and our staff is deeply encouraged by their intentionality and openness to what God has for them during this journey.
Over the next nine months, these young adults are embracing a unique challenge: they are willingly setting aside movies, prerecorded music, television, social media, dating relationships, and video games. By stepping away from these societal distractions, they are choosing to root their identity and time in Christ. Witnessing their growth, struggles, and triumphs as they walk this path is truly inspiring.
Beyond deepening their personal relationships with Christ, our students are actively learning about the Lord in their classes and applying these lessons during trips, weekends serving at Hume, and time at home. Each student is also memorizing the entire book of Philippians, allowing the transformative power of Scripture to shape their hearts and minds.
We invite you to partner with us in prayer for these students. Pray that their hearts will be forever changed and drawn closer to Christ and that they will desire the Lord above all else. Please also pray for our staff, that we may remain fully dependent on God and faithfully guide these students in a way that glorifies Him.
Recruitment for the Joshua Class of ‘25/’26 is already underway, and we are amazed at how God is moving. The class is nearly full, and we are on track to welcome our largest group of young adults next fall. We pray this momentum continues and that God draws the right students to join us.
Many of our current students have been able to participate thanks to the financial aid provided by generous donors. As we prepare for the next class, we see a growing financial need and invite you to sponsor a student. Your support can make a profound difference in their lives. To give, please visit Hume’s website and select “The JWI Campership Fund” under the designation.
Thank you for your continued support and prayers. Together, we can make a lasting impact on these young lives.
Blessings,
The Joshua Wilderness Institute Team
