This fall, over 1,000 women from Victory Outreach Women’s Ministry gathered at Hume Lake for a time of renewal and reflection. These incredible women came from all over the world, each serving in ministries that bring hope and restoration to those in desperate need. From helping women escape life on the streets and addiction to rescuing those trapped in human trafficking, their work is a powerful force for change in some of the darkest places.
During their time at Hume, these women were not only moved by the beauty of the camp, but also deeply touched by the warmth and hospitality of the staff. The team at Hume went above and beyond to ensure each guest felt welcome and cared for. Their kindness did not go unnoticed, as many women shared how the genuine love of Christ they experienced from the staff made their stay even more meaningful.
Even members of the local community were inspired to get involved, with several women volunteering to greet the Victory Outreach group at meal times. Their presence added an extra layer of warmth and connection, making the gathering feel even more like a family reunion.
For the women of Victory Outreach, this retreat wasn’t just a break from the intense ministry they lead—it was a reminder that they, too, are seen, valued, and loved. The impact of their time at Hume Lake will no doubt ripple out into the communities they return to as they continue their life-changing work.
