Prayer is the foundation of Hume Christian Camps. As we enter the fall season, busy with retreats and preparation for Winter Camp, we invite you to join others in praying for this ministry, just as it began—with hearts united in seeking God’s will.
Hume’s story began with a small group of faithful men who felt called to pray for revival. Through their persistent prayers and God’s guidance, they purchased the Hume Lake property. That first summer in 1946, 670 campers experienced the life-changing power of the gospel, led by just 15 volunteers.
Since then, God’s faithfulness has been evident year after year. We rely on the prayers of our ministry partners for wisdom, protection, and clear direction as we continue to reach lives for Christ.
At the beginning of each month, our Hume Ministry Prayer Partners receive an email filled with specific prayer requests from our campuses, directors, and teams. As a partner, you’ll have the opportunity to lift up these needs, knowing that your prayers are vital to the work God is doing here.
