A Family’s Tradition

By: Roopa Lee

For the last several years, my family and I have made it a beloved end-of-summer tradition to attend Country Fair. My kids talk about Country Fair all year long! Hume has profoundly impacted and shaped my life in many ways, and sharing this place with my family has been so meaningful.

It was at Meadow Ranch where I gave my heart to Jesus, a moment that changed my life forever. My time at Ponderosa brought another blessing when I received a scholarship to Biola University, where I eventually went to school and now work. Some of my closest friendships were forged during my summers working in Support Services, creating bonds that have lasted a lifetime.

Our annual visits to the Country Fair are not only fun, but they also give us the opportunity to support Hume’s ministry. It allows me to share this special place with my family and create new memories while giving back to a place that’s given so much to me.

One of the highlights from last year’s Country Fair was the Family Hymn Sing. Sitting on the Meadow Ranch lawn while the sun was setting, we joined other families in worshipping our Creator. It was incredible, and I hope to do it again this year!

My kids have inherited my love for Hume and are counting the days until this year’s Country Fair!

If you’ve ever attended Hume’s Country Fair, you know just how extraordinary this weekend truly is. All proceeds from the fair go directly to Hume’s Campership Fund, which provides scholarships to kids who need financial assistance to attend camp.

We’re thrilled to announce that Jordan Feliz will perform live at our Sunday concert this year. We’ll also be hosting a special Hymn Sing on Saturday evening with Ron Rogalski!
