Hume was born out of several Christian men coming together to pray. These men sensed the need for revival and began regular prayer meetings to seek God’s will and plan. In 1946, these men purchased the Hume Lake property, and in the summer of 1946, 670 campers attended Hume Lake Conferences run by 15 volunteer staff.
Through the years, we have seen God’s hand over Hume. The prayers of ministry partners are coveted for wisdom, protection, and guidance.
At the beginning of each month, we have a Hume Ministry Prayer Partner email that goes out to those that have signed up for this special role. We collect requests from the campuses, camp directors, and site directors and send them your way so you know the specific requests to pray over.
